Accommodation Fee
*) Sorry, all rooms have meanwhile been booked by conference participants. Persons interested in an accommodation at Schloss Hernstein can only be put on a waiting list (in case some registered participants unexpectedly cancel). To be on the waiting list please send an e-mail to

Conference participants are accommodated at
Seminarhotel Schloss Hernstein (= conference site) in single
and two-bed rooms. The total number of participants (including accompanying persons) is strictly limited to 100.
Hernstein is a remote area and there are no other hotels within walking distance (10 km).
In order to secure your reservation, we have to receive your accommodation fee (in full) until June 10, 2006 the latest (for refund in case of cancellation see below). Reservations without receipt of payment until this date will be automatically cancelled.
The accommodation fee listed below includes full board (incl. all meals) and is quoted for the whole duration of the conference, i.e. from Sunday afternoon to Friday after Lunch (5 nights). It cannot be split into individual days (no refund for late arrival or early departure)!

Conference Fee
The conference fee for regular participants and students includes the
scientific programme, the book of abstracts, all receptions,
the conference outing, the conference dinner, coffee breaks
and refreshments during the poster sessions.
Students have to show a valid student's identity card at the
registration desk.
Participants paying the regular conference
fee will also receive a copy of the conference proceedings (special issue of Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physical Research B) by mail after the conference.
The fee for
accompanying persons includes all receptions, the conference
outing, the conference dinner and a special excursion program for accompanying persons.

Please use the IISC-16 Registration and Accommodation Form , available in PDF-format or MS-Word format, for your conference registration and accommodation reservation. Sorry, no more rooms are available! We are fully booked. Official receipts will be handed out at the conference.

Payments should be done by one of the following methods:

Please do not forget to indicate the name of the participant and in parallel send the IISC-16 Registration and Accommodation Form, available in PDF-format or MS-Word format by e-mail (to iisc16@iap.tuwien.ac.at) or fax (fax number: +43 1 58801 13499) indicating bank transfer as the method of payment.
Since the proper use of IBAN and BIC codes assures low bank charges this is the preferred method of payment by participants from EU countries. If your transfer has been substantially reduced through bank charges you will have to pay the difference to the appropriate conference fee at the registration desk.
Please note: The conference fee does not contain any VAT and is not subject to VAT. (However, in case bureaucracy insists on knowing it... VAT number: ATU37675002)

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations received in writing before June 10th, 2006
will be subject to an administrative charge of EURO 50.
A 50% refund on accommodation and registration fee will be given for cancellations received in writing before August 10th, 2006.
After this date, no refunds can be given.
However, substitutions will be accepted anytime up to the
conference date. Refunds will be issued after the conference.
If for any reason beyond our control (including but not limited to natural desasters, terrorist attacks, etc...) we are forced to cancel
the conference, the fee already paid will be
refunded after deduction of an overhead
not exceeding 10%. Cancellation of reservation for travel,
and the like will be the sole responsibility of
the participant.
We will be unable to reimburse any losses and cancellation fees.
