Thesis Opportunities

Things are changing rapidly at the moment, and we don't want to have outdated information online. Thus, we give only a short overview of our current fields:

• Bombarding the world's thinnest materials (= 2D materials) by ions from the center of the hottest stars in the galaxy.
• Eroding plasma facing components from Tokamak experiments with ions present in a nuclear fusion reactor.
• Diagnosing the edge plasma of fusion experiments to understand and prevent the formation of severe instabilities in ITER.
• Investigating the effects of “space weathering” and solar wind on the surfaces of atmosphere-less planets and moons.
