Two PhD Positions: Surface Studies of Zirconia

… in continuation of our successful work on ultrathin ZrO2 films: We will continue with these ultrathin films as well as slightly thicker films grown with a UHV-compatible sputter deposition source, but still thin enough for imaging by STM. First results are very promising, so we look forward to finding two bright young researchers for venturing into new terrain!

Experience in surface physics/chemistry and UHV will be appreciated.

Employment by TU Wien, salary according to Austrian Science Fund terms (approx. EUR 26200 gross for PhD students)
