Research Interests
- Atomic Physics: Physics of highly charged ions, atomic (ion–atom, ion–molecule) collisions (experiments and AOCC calculations), “hollow” atom formation and decay
- Surface Physics: Basic ion - surface interaction processes (electron emission, sputtering, nanostructure formation), capillary guiding of ion beams, AFM/STM studies of ion-induced surface nanostructures
- Plasma Physics: Fusion plasmas, plasma-wall-interaction, plasma diagnostics and modelling, atomic data for fusion, ECR ion sources, X-ray Lasers
