The surface oxide on Ni3Al(111)

The STM image (top) shows the oxygen atoms; in the right side the calculated positions of the oxygen atoms are marked by yellow circles. Flower-like features in the STM image are holes in the oxide, as shown in the model. Here, oxygen atoms are red, Al atoms in the oxide are blue or violet.
