Ferromagnetic structure written by ion beam irradiation

The magnetic force microscopy (MFM) image shows ferromagnetic reagions (bright) written in a 1.6 nm thick Fe film by irradiation with 10 keV Ar+ ions using the CHARPAN tool at IMS.
